Lost pet help in Surrey, British Columbia
Who to call first in Surrey
- Pickup and bylaw enforcement
- City of Surrey Animal Services, through the Bylaw Call Centre, 604-591-4370
- Where a picked-up animal is held
- Surrey Animal Resource Centre, 17944 Colebrook Road — owned and operated by the City of Surrey, 604-574-6622
Surrey runs both the service and the shelter itself. Its own page states that animals found in Surrey should be brought to the Surrey Animal Resource Centre.
Dogs and cats are not always the same answer. The centre takes dogs, cats, small animals, livestock and exotics, and publishes separate stray-dog and stray-cat lists.
Out of hours. Officers are available 8am–6pm. No after-hours stray path is published.
Checked against the City of Surrey’s own lost-and-found-pets page on 4 October 2026 — read it yourself. Services and contracts change — confirm before you travel.
