What to do here

This is the BC SPCA centre for Kelowna and the Central Okanagan, handling surrenders, adoptions and cruelty work. It is not the dog pound.

Dog control in Kelowna is a regional service: the City of Kelowna’s own bylaw page sends dog control issues to RDCO Dog Control on 250-469-6284, and the Regional District of Central Okanagan’s bylaw establishes its dog pound at 890 Weddell Place in Kelowna. The RDCO has an after-hours emergency line, 604-815-6006 or 1-888-670-2417, and an after-hours drop-off kennel at the pound.

The same regional service covers West Kelowna, Lake Country and Peachland. Contact this centre as well, and check that your microchip record with the BC Pet Registry is current.

One organisation is never the whole search

A pet is found by whoever happens to be nearby, so the shelter, the city, the registry and the local search groups each hold a different piece. Work the list rather than one entry on it.
