What to do here
This is the BC SPCA centre for the Tri-Cities, based in Coquitlam. It handles cruelty investigations, surrenders and adoptions, and its own page states the Coquitlam location primarily cares for cats, kittens and small animals. It is not the pound for any of the Tri-Cities municipalities.
A dog found roaming in Coquitlam goes to the city’s own Coquitlam Animal Shelter at 500 Mariner Way — 604-927-7387, with Bylaw Services on 604-927-3580.
Port Coquitlam bylaw officers pick up and transport dogs to that same Coquitlam shelter; call Port Coquitlam Bylaw Services on 604-927-5440. Port Moody directs lost and found dog reports to its Bylaws line on 604-469-4697 or to the Coquitlam Animal Shelter. Pitt Meadows uses the Coquitlam shelter as its kennel, reached through Pitt Meadows Bylaw Services on 604-465-2428 ext. 2.
For a missing cat in the Tri-Cities, this centre is a sensible place to ask — no municipal cat impound service is published for these cities.

One organisation is never the whole search
A pet is found by whoever happens to be nearby, so the shelter, the city, the registry and the local search groups each hold a different piece. Work the list rather than one entry on it.
