What to do here
Call about a lost or found dog in Coquitlam, and visit the shelter in person every two or three days — the city states that dogs found roaming off leash in Coquitlam are taken here. Coquitlam Bylaw Services is on 604-927-3580, seven days a week, 8am–9pm.
This shelter serves four municipalities, not one. Port Coquitlam’s animal control officers transport dogs here (Bylaw Services 604-927-5440). Port Moody directs lost and found dog reports here or to its Bylaws line, 604-469-4697, and funds an animal shelter service contract. Pitt Meadows has used this shelter for stray impound since August 2023 — but it will not pick up or transport from Pitt Meadows, so call Pitt Meadows Bylaw Services on 604-465-2428 ext. 2 to arrange that.
The BC SPCA Tri-Cities centre in the same city handles cruelty investigations and surrenders separately, and primarily cares for cats and small animals.

One organisation is never the whole search
A pet is found by whoever happens to be nearby, so the shelter, the city, the registry and the local search groups each hold a different piece. Work the list rather than one entry on it.
