Toronto Animal Services

The City of Toronto's own animal services, which publishes a list of strays found in the last 14 days.

What to do here

File a lost report with a description, licence number and microchip number, and have a photo ready. The published stray list only covers the last 14 days, so check it daily rather than once.

This is separate from the Toronto Humane Society. Both need contacting.

Compiled from the City of Toronto's own page. Last checked 1 August 2026. Details change without notice — confirm anything you are about to rely on.

One organisation is never the whole search

A pet is found by whoever happens to be nearby, so the shelter, the city, the registry and the local search groups each hold a different piece. Work the list rather than one entry on it.
